There is nothing more emotive than how people are
financially rewarded for the work they do.
We work with clients to help them understand what they want to achieve in terms of reward. Do you have challenges retaining or attracting staff? Where do you want to be in relation to the market? Who gets a bonus and why? What’s the split between fixed and variable and does it “work”?
How often do people managers in your business say, “thanks” for a job well done? Then ask how often do they tell staff when they HAVEN’T done well or have made a mistake? Recognition can start from the

“traditional” annual appraisal process. Our view is that consistency is key to defining objectives, measuring achievement, reviewing and actioning development needs, within an environment of mutual respect and trust.
Managing people and how they perform should be an ongoing process. One off “snapshots” can drive the wrong behaviours of all involved and limit the value to
organisations and their most valuable assets – their people!
